The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas has powertrain versatility
Many SUVs just provide one powertrain option in their model lineups, but the Atlas offers two for the Comfortline and Highline. The first is a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder that generates 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of responsive torque. For those who prefer a different type of power, a naturally aspirated six-cylinder engine is also available, which produces 276 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. This engine also powers the premium-grade Execline.
All drivetrains include an eight-speed automatic transmission with standard Start/Stop and regenerative braking. Important for Canada's seasonal road conditions, 4MOTION AWD is standard on all models.
