The Taos features a new 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that generates 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Standard 17 or available 18 and 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels channel the power to the ground.
Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive will be available in the model lineup, providing buyers with more drivetrain options. FWD models feature an 8-speed transmission, and AWD models receive a quick-shifting 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Each Taos model comes standard with the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit instrument panel. It is a fully customizable high-resolution display that offers much more than traditional readouts.
