Volkswagen Canada has officially unveiled its pricing for the 2024 Atlas Cross Sport, starting at $48,895. This redesigned model retains the robust underpinnings of its successful predecessor while integrating an elegantly updated interior and a more refined turbocharged engine, promising both enhanced performance and a superior driving experience.
For 2024, the Atlas Cross Sport will be solely powered by a four-cylinder, turbocharged, direct-injection TSI engine, delivering 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. This new engine is anticipated to offer improved drivability, acceleration, and fuel economy, making the same power as the outgoing VR6 but with a bump in torque. This powertrain is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, with Volkswagen’s standard 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system ensuring optimal grip in varying conditions.
The 2024 Atlas Cross Sport lineup features three distinct trim levels. Each trim incorporates a meticulously crafted interior boasting premium materials such as a leatherette-trimmed soft-touch dash and center console. Aesthetically, front-row door trim and décor smoothly transition into the dash panel, creating an upscale cockpit ambience, a feature mirrored in the second row. In addition, the innovative backlit dash décor and an ambient lighting system with 30 colour choices contribute to the sophisticated feel. Top-of-range models even showcase quilted leather seats with a diamond stitch pattern for an added layer of luxury.
All trims benefit from a significant boost in comfort features, such as a heated steering wheel with shift paddles, ventilated front seats, and a height-adjustable passenger seat now as standard. There's also a redesigned centre console with a storage cubby underneath and the three-zone Climatronic automatic climate control enhancing passenger comfort.
The Atlas Cross Sport lineup begins with the Comfortline, starting at an MSRP of $48,895, followed by the Highline and the Execline R-Line trims, priced at $55,895 and $58,895, respectively. Despite the lack of a third row, each trim level is fully equipped to offer a blend of comfort, technology, and performance.
The IQ.DRIVE package comes standard on all trims, completing the driver assistance suite with an array of features, including Travel Assist, Front Assist, Active Side Assist, Lane Assist, Rear Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, and Emergency Assist.
The redesigned 2024 Atlas Cross Sport is set to hit Canadian dealers in the third quarter of 2023, promising a combination of advanced technology, engaging performance, and sophisticated design.
